John K.'s Tattertown, Harlem Shuffle, Mighty Mouse vids

by Ted <nospamforted@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 22, 2006 at 08:36 PM

Links to complete video of the rare Christmas in Tattertown, Harlem
Shuffle video, and four Mighty Mouse episodes (plus some Firedogs II
stuff, and other Bak**** stuff) can be found at:

Eddie Fitzgerald did layout on Tattertown; Mike Kazaleh did too, and he
went on to do the RnS comic; uh, it lists Virgil Ross as an animator,
and that just seems wrong as he would have been about 80 when it was
being made. Keith David is the voice of the saxophone; you may know him
as the voice of Spawn in the animated version, or the guy who ends up
***ually exploiting Jennifer Connelly in Requiem for a Dream, or the
black guy on Mr Rogers in the early '80s, or any of a host of other
things. There are probably others involved too; I think Victoria Jenson
worked on RnS as well...
John K.'s name doesn't appear in the opening or closing credits. I
wonder why. Maybe he was in charge of the overseas studios? Maybe it's
incorrect that he worked on Tattertown?
(The cartoon is, incidentally, not very good; some of the characters
look pretty good at least some of the time, but the thing starts off
unconscionably abruptly, seems pretty jerky (and not due to the video
files as far as I can tell), has off and on sound, and plays out kinda
like a fever dream. It feels like something that was already half made
before they turned it into a Christmas special, too. The parts that look
good are sitting right next to (sometimes in the same shot as) stuff
that looks like crap, which just makes the crappy bits seem all the more
crappy.)
