Cartoon Brew ( http://cartoonbrew.com/
) announced
"John Kricfalusi will be making an appearence to introduce a screening
of his best cartoons (uncut!) at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, on
Sunday night May 28th at 6:30pm. Earlier that same day, across the
street at 4pm, John will be making an appearence at Every Picture Tells
A Story , the bookstore/gallery, which is hosting a month long exhibit
"The Art of John Kricfalusi" . John will be on hand to personally sign
original art and prints which will be for sale."
Odd they broke the story, and not John K's blog
http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/
or MOTLOS (which has been struggling under the weight of technical
issues ranging from a limited to the 10 most recent messages "most
recent messages" page to people being unable to access their accounts).
Here's the gallery's page, with a bunch of APC era drawings (they look
like cleanups, which John K was saying as a class have issues with
staying true to his original drawings, and which likely wouldn't be by
him but by a cleanup artist...) for $250 (and up) apiece:

Ah, it's always funny when animation folks ignore the efficient markets.
Did I say funny? I meant something else...
Well, there's still hope for the prints...
Hopefully the exhibit will be a bit more comprehensive; all the
currently listed material seems to be from Altruists, except for one
drawing that looks like it's from NBF (and there are a few generic
drawings that might be from other episodes; and I don't know where the
giant military buffalo patch is from, or why it would be $250...). Hey,
maybe they're just pricing this stuff (18 drawings at the moment) at
laughable prices to keep the stock on hand until the opening/to draw out
the rich idiots early. Presumably some of his caricatures will be making
their way to the show as well, as he recently claimed he was hooking up
with a gallery to sell his stuff, and it would make sense that this was
it.
