It's the first new result in the Ottawa Business Journal for the case in more than a year. John K. mentioned awhile ago that Spumco is no more; I wonder if this means it still exists as a business entity but that John is no longer associated with it. Or if it was just a long scheduled meeting that was incapable of taking place. If so, I'd expect a motion for summary judgement from Carbunkle's attorney; I don't know that such motions would end up re****ted in the OBJ, or if they are, when motion day for the court is or when it would show up on the site. Presumably an actual entry of summary judgement would show up, but it's possible it might not, and I'd expect the judge to wait on summary judgement.until an attempt at contact was made (tho that's not assured). And of course there's the possibility that John saying Spumco was no more was more of a flourish and not to be taken entirely literally. http://archive.ottawabusinessjournal.com/archive_detail.php?archiveFile=./pubfiles/obj/archive/2007/January/22/OBJ-Judgments/19777.xml&start=0&numPer=20&keyword=spumco§ionSearch=&begindate=1%2F1%2F1999&enddate=12%2F31%2F2007&authorSearch=&IncludeStories=1&pubsection=&page=&IncludePages=1&IncludeImages=1&mode=allwords&archive_pubname=OBJ-Web%0A%09%09%09 04-CV-029253 Carbunkle Cartoons Entertainment Inc. vs. Spumco Inc.
