Voice of Nibbles
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
Sorry to be so delayed in responding, I just fell over this thread.
Yes, I voiced Nibbles/aka Tuffy when I was five or six years old.
Hanna and Barbera wanted a high voice with a French accent. Having
newly immigrated to the United States I fit that bill. As I could not
yet read English I had to memorize my lines. I remember having to
stand on a high stool so I was the same distance from the mic as the
man ( whose name I do not recall, sadly) who voiced Tom. It was a lot
of fun. I spent some time on the lot at Metro and did bit parts in
films- being one of the street urchins in An American in Paris.
After my mother was remarried to the wonderful screenwriter Franklin
Coen, my career -such as it was- ended. I did indeed become a senior
researcher at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center but only after
spending 8 years as Michael Douglas' Director of Project Development
in the 1970's-80's.
Ain't life Grand.
"Francoise".
