Look at the style the name is written in; it's similar to web page
addresses. How do you say www.google.com? I pronounce it like so:
w w w dot google dot com
Since the series is .hack, it would be pronounced:
dot hack
Since the show on TV is .hack//Sign, you get:
dot hack sign
..hack is the general series name used to refer to the whole .hack
universe:
..hack//AI Busters, a novel(?), .hack//Sign, a TV series, .hack//Dusk
(aka,
..hack//Legend of Twilight's Bracelet), another series, .hack//Liminality,
a
third series, and so on. There are 4 games, but I'm too lazy to list them
all now ;)
