According to a news item in

.... some Japanese studios are working closely with a company called
Odex to threaten fans of anime (including a nine-year old kid) who
have allegedly downloaded titles with bittorrent. They threaten them
with court action if they don't settle out of court with a hefty sum.
So, all fans beware of this.
