How to Integrate Particle systems API with Visual studio

Hi,

I am using Dave McAllister's particle systems API - (http://
www.cs.unc.edu/~davemc/Particle/) for the first time. I wanted to
integrate this API  with Visual C++ in visual studio 2005. How do I
integrate this API with Visual studio? Detailed steps would be
appreciated.
