1930's - 1950's, written by "Kenneth Robeson", a pen name covering a
number 
of writers, one Lester Dent being the writer for most of them.  Got heavy 
into the Bantam reprints (slightly out of order) starting during my JH
days 
in the early 70's onward.  There were also a color comic (the usual slim 
rag) and a graphic mag briefly in that time, by Marvel I think - tie in of

the so-so movie featuring the best TV Tarzan, Ron Ely.  Forget who the
cover 
illustrator of those was, but only one (paperback series #4 IIRC, which
had 
an Artic setting) did not show Clark Savage Jr with a torn ****rt - of 
course, the joke among us Savage otakus was that he was wearing it under
the 
heavy parka he had on....
