kind of true... yet princesses-fairies-bratz movies are intended just for 
girls and referred movies were intended for children.
Hoodwinked role is part of a multicast. Happily N'Ever After... yes sir. 
Reckon Shrek has one of the most power female leads.

Anime has a real assortment of genres on the matter :)... btw, which 
animation movie were just for boys ? it isn't just on the leads.
