Barbie Mariposa - from a Producer of Mighty Max!!!

by Terrence Briggs <mrman1mrman1@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 11, 2008 at 07:14 PM

Hey, if Space Chimps and Happily N'ever After can do it, so can I:
Barbie Mariposa - from a Producer of Mighty Max!!!

Remember Rob Hudnut? Well, he was the only name I recognize in the
credits for this direct-to-video CGI feature, so I choose to blame him
for its lack of suckiness.

Really, it's not as bad as you think. The limp, Cinderell-ish
princess gets a saucy companion, with a Mighty Max-y wit ("I'm
suprised I didn't gag. The whole place smelled like feet!). The
animation is surprisingly subtle, with good use of facial expressions
and head movements, to keep things from being too static.

I held out longer during this film thn I did the Ice Princess feature
that Mainframe did. I wasn't exactly wowed by the 12-or-However-Many-
Dancing Princess feature, either. So I'm giving credit where credit
is due.

If your little girl, niece, cousin or whatever has been brainwashed by
The Princess Platoon, and refuses to watch Jane & the Dragon, you
won't gag watching this film with them.

Terrence Briggs, who just admitted to watching Barbie DVDs... and
walks away with his tail between his legs

Peace to you...
