So I'm looking over my shelves of DVD's, looking for new stuff to watch (a
lot of my favorite TV shows are either cancelled or on hiatus, so I have
some openings). I have several movies and box sets that I've purchased
but
haven't gotten around to yet. I noticed that I had the first two seasons
of InuYasha still in shrinkwrap. I picked them up, willing to take a
chance as it is very highly recommended and the creator's pedigree is
good.
But before I start checking them out, I heard the show got cancelled
before
the story was finished. Was this doing so poorly in ratings that it got
canned? Are there any plans to finish it up, or will I have to hunt down
the manga when I finally catch up? And how faithful is the anime to the
manga?
In short, is this going to be like Kidnapped, where they cancelled it just
as the story got really tense and left us twisting in the wind (until the
DVD came out, anyway)?
