Ramblings of a Reformed Pirate and Thief

by "Inu-Yasha" <tjardine@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 10, 2008 at 11:18 PM

I'm a Pirate and Thief because I have downloaded anime fan-subs, I'm
reformed because I've been buying the anime series and OVA's that I like
[I
know, I know, per Starcade (Mr. Dodo bird tho not yet extinct), my
download
(lost sale) and my bought anime (at some price point) equals zero, so
maybe
I'm not reformed .... but I digress, I was viewing my ROD the TV and my
Red
Garden, and my Dirty pair OVA's and movies, and my Witchblade.... well
anyway, I noticed that the dubbed versions are great in most resects, but
lack in a few others [compared to fan-subs, or the Japanese originals].
Signs, letters/notes in Japanese and other printed or lettered items are
not
translated in the dubbed versions, but the fan-subbers float the
translation
on the screen nest to the Japanese text (I miss the translations]. Also,
in
some of the anime, especially Red Garden the English spoken is almost
mumbled or inaudible, i.e. when the girls sing some of their feelings, or
if
the girl has a soft low voice. I presume this is normal in the dubbed
versions, correct? Anyone notice other little things like this [do not
count the censor****p editing, we've covered that in other threads]? Oh,
and
ADV better not go under until they finish Red Garden or I will be royally
ticked off!!

        Inu-Yasha
        Feh!! ^_^
