wasn't bad enough--
Can't do "Nemo" business on just Spidey and Pirates alone!)

The Guardian.uk seems to particularly sense vibes coming off the latter:

"You can almost hear the panic in the voice of The Simpsons' creator
Matt Groening. The film will be 'deliberately imperfect'. It contains
'everything we couldn't show on television'. His co-producer Al Jean has
even boasted that 'if you've never heard of The Simpsons, you can enjoy
the film'. They know expectation is sky-high, even for something that's
been 15 years (yes, 15!) in the pipeline. So why the need to qualify the
film with so many caveats and premature apologies?"

(Psst, Ian, you forgot Fox's last-ditch "We're celebrating old-school
2-D animation!--Uh, except for that one Disney already started doing,
while we were in post" animation-fan kissup...)

If you're actually leaving the house to see Rush Hour 3 or Simpsons,
more power to ya. Better you than me. -_-

And having already seen the trailer for "Stardust", I can imagine better
movies by better directors...
Getting Matthew "Overbearingly quirky UK-crime comedies" Vaughn,
however, seems to be giving off heavy vibes of "Tongue-in-cheek
fairytale?--Never done one before, but, eh, I'll just watch Princess
Bride a couple times first to get the hang of it, how hard could it be??"

Derek Janssen (who would've liked to have gotten just *one* Harry,
'Spray or Bourne trailer with his "Transformers", or even Stardust, but
noooo...)
